Filzer farmhouse - Fierozzo - Bersntoler museum / Valle dei Mòcheni museum
Large farmhouse that dates back to the fifteenth century and is typical of this valley where the German-speaking mòchen community dwells.
A little further down the road that connects Fierozzo to Palù one finds this large farmhouse that dates back to the fifteenth century and is typical of this valley where the German-speaking mòchen community dwells. "Der Hof" (the farmhouse) originated with the colonization of the left bank of the river and of the upper part of the Fersina valley with the arrival of German-speaking immigrants from the thirteenth century. The living quarters are on the ground floor with the agricultural uses, wine-cellar, stables, hay-barn, disposed on various levels. The surroundings, studded with trees of different species, consist of vegetable plots, manure heaps, fields, meadows, woods and pastures. The Mòcheno Cultural Institute, which has undertaken the careful restoration work here, offers guided tours with specially trained local youngsters. During summer work on the farm is planned: local craftsmen performing traditional jobs.
