Haus von Prükk - Luserna
Traditional peasant house of the famous Germanic-language community known as the ‘Cimbri’
A typical local peasant house, divided into two distinct parts connected by a common stairway and organized respectively on three or four overlapping levels, from sub-basement with storage cellar and stables, to the living quarters with kitchen and bedrooms and up to the attics. Built from limestone blocks in the eighteenth century, it is situated in the centre of Luserna, home of the famous Germanic-language community known as the ‘Cimbri’, and has been recently restored with period furniture and furnishings. Curtains, sheets and other items of household linen are embellished with old-fashioned lace designs.
