In the historic district of Quartinago the historic Marascalchi house has been restored and opened to the public. The house was inhabited until 1962 when the owners emigrated and is now presented as a Giudicarie farmhouse museum. The rooms show their former uses, with the furniture and objects that were once used by the resident family. The house is organized on several levels: one sub-basement for storing wine and another for the storage of foodstuffs and the stalls. On the ground floor the kitchen area - in this case a room with an old open hearth and one with a more recent wood-fired cookstove - then the workshop with carpenter's bench, the work tools and all the equipment necessary for maintaining the house. On the first floor the bedrooms, with the room reserved for the breeding of silkworms and the one for weaving and on the second floor the open space where, using a pulley, wood, sheaths, hay, straw and grain could be stored. Above that an attic also used for storage.
