1938, when we discovered we were no longer Italian

documentary by Pietro Suber (2018, 74’)

Cinema

Pietro Suber collects the voices of those who have lived through one of the darkest pages of Italian history: the expulsion of Jews from schools and state jobs, the deprivation of fundamental rights and a real manhunt, a harbinger of extermination.

A choral testimony that, starting from the stories of the survivors, investigates the fascist legacy which is still present in contemporary Italy.
