Agave (“Agaves”)

The Funambolo (“Tightrope walker”) project of Teatro al buio (“Theatre in the dark”) aims to merge radiogram tradition with live performance and theatre, offering the audience a completely particular enjoyment: the enjoyment in the dark. In the wake of other brilliantly successful initiatives (blind cafe, concerts in the dark…and so on), the idea is to bring theatre into this particular dimension in order to prove that sight limitation can turn into a surprising openness to imagination. The audience in fact will have to integrate with their own imagination what the darkness removes from their perception: the actors’ faces, their bodies and expressions; stage design, setting and lights; all that is theatre and is evoked by the voice of an actor. In order to turn a performance that has something less (all that we can not see) into a performance that has something more (all that the audience will be able to imagine).

All the performances will take place at Irifor in Trento, in via Malvasia, 15.
