Albrecht Dürer and the castle of Arco

The town of Arco owes Albrecht Dürer one of the most beautiful "portraits" of its history: "Fenedier Klawsen", painted in 1495 and now exhibited at the Louvre, captures the castle with the cliff overlooking the walled town and the surrounding countryside, fixing indelibly the hallmarks of a landscape that still today inspires a deep sense of beauty.
