Alexander Gadjiev. Born into a family of musicians in 1994, in Gorizia, Italy. He began his piano studies at the age of five with his mother, Ingrid Silic. Later on, he continued his studies with his father, well-known Russian teacher, Siavush Gadjiev. Alexander is first prize winner in numerous competitions for young pianists. He gave his first recital at the age of ten. In April 2012 he won the third prize at the first edition of the FVG International Piano competition. In June 2012 he won the ninth edition of the Premio delle Arti, which took place in Trieste, with a unanimous decision of the jury. In the same year he graduated magna cum laude at the Conservatorio Maderna of Cesena. In June 2014 he reached the semi-finals at the Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition and in August 2014 was selected to partecipate to the finals of the 60° Busoni Piano Competition in Bolzano. In December 2015 he won the First Prize and Audience Prize at the prestigious 9th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition.
