Anouar Brahem, Khaled Yassine, Klaus Gesing, Björn Meyer

All the music featured in this concert is inspired by Arab traditions and at the same time is a fervent search for melody. Sounds become colours and the instruments set up continuous dialogues. It is the extraordinary bravura of the musicians under the direction of Anouar Brahem, brilliant Tunisian oud virtuoso, that makes all this possible: clarinetist Klaus Gesing, bassist Björn Meyer, the young Lebanese Khaled Yassine on darbuka and bendir drums. At the end, we’re left with the feeling that there is still a lot of unexplored space in music.
