Special for the centennial: this year for the anniversary of the break out of the First World War the itinerary is going to recall the memorial sites in this little valley in Trentino, which looks at the Garda Lake.

The Biocamminagrestana/Bio-hike in Val di Gresta celebrates 18 years. It is a panoramic hike to discover the Val di Gresta, which is the biological vegetable garden of Trentino.

The itinerary passes through woods, fields and meadows and you can enjoy the amazing terracings, which are typical of this valley between Rovereto and the Garda Lake.

The hike is easy to make but not apt for strollers. Children who are going to take part of the tour, will receive a little toy-book to be active protagonists of the path and at the end of the hike they are going to win a “bio-prize”.

Moreover children can follow Michela and her funny little donkey, which carries on its back a basket full of books. On the Faé and Grom mountains are provided some breaks to listen to stories about flowers and leaves, air and water, animals and wellness.

On the occasion of the Centenary of the First World War the itinerary is going to cross the trenches of Val di Gresta with moments of historical divulgation edited by the War History museum of Rovereto,  readings of passages from the war diaries, mountain songs and the guide of the Italian alpine troopers of Mori. Gastronomic stops are in program too; an example is the “Soldier breakfast”.

This year the taste stop-over are 16 and by every one of them you can request avegetarian dish. All the drinks and the food are biological. The plates and dishes are made of eco-friendly materials in order to respect the environment.

At the end of the route you can buy the products of Val di Gresta at a biological market.

The departure is between 8.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. in Valle San Felice, where you can park your car.
