The music they make has its roots in the Afro-Brazilian culture: samba from Rio de Janeiro, afro of Salvador de Bahia, baião and maracatu, typical of North-eastern Brazil, Música Popular Brasileira, up to contemporary musicians. They have a varied repertoire, interpret different authors and play traditional instruments like repinique, tamborim, surdos, pandeiro, agogos, patangome, gungas.
Capoeira with São Sãlomao
Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art, created by the descendants of African slaves born in Brazil; it’s characterized by expressive elements such as music and harmonious movements - therefore it’s often mistaken for a dance
