FaRe Jazz Big Band directed by Stefano Colpi

The young "FaRe Jazz Big Band" is presented aims at rediscovering the orchestra in jazz, with its language and its sounds.
With its 19 members, the "FaRe Jazz Big Band" is a “true” jazz orchestra that stands out for the originality of his repertoire (in fact it includes some of the most beautiful pages of the literature of jazz orchestra, from the classics of Count Basie to the more recent experiments).

In a time when jazz in Italy also finds its expression primarily in small groups (also for economic reasons), whereby orchestras fade away, "FaRe Jazz Big Band" can be seen as a "key" to bring jazz closer even to the most skeptical listener, as well as to all those who perceive too much complexity in jazz styles and languages.

The orchestra "FaRe Jazz Big Band" was founded in late 2004 as an educational musical workshop, thanks to FaRe Jazz and the support of the municipality of Pergine.

It’s a typical jazz orchestra and consists of three sections of wind instruments (saxophones, trumpets and trombones) and a rhythm section (piano, guitar, bass, percussion and drums).
FaRe Jazz Big Band includes musicians from diverse musical training coming from everywhere in Trentino and it is directed by Roberto Di Marino.
