Federspiel

Inspiration, humour, sensitivity and, above all, a rousing energy that is unleashed on the stage - these are the distinctive features of this Austrian brass band. Founded in 2004, it brings together seven young musicians trained at the Vienna Conservatory, who have become well-known throughout Europe through their numerous tours and a talent that has received numerous awards. Federspiel’s brass instruments bring their audiences face to face with the best folk traditions of the continent, engaging with and reinventing them in a way that is, let’s say, “revolutionary”, with a wide range of melodies and improvisations.
