Grapes and nearby

With “Uva e dintorni” on the first weekend of September, Vallagarina celebrates the beginning of harvest in the picturesque village of Avio.

Three days in this splendid Trentino village in lower Vallagarina, a place that has always been dedicated to the production of wine, thanks to the immense green vineyards that surround it.

During all days, courts of flavors where you will taste the typical dishes of the area, medieval music, itinerant shows, craft markets, guided tours to cultural sites, aerial dance performances, plays of light and special wine tastings with the wineries in the area.

Heart of the event, the National “Palio delle Botti” between the Cities of Wine, scheduled on Sunday. The challenge is characterized by four tests: the thrust of the barrel uphill, the parallel slalom, the pressing of the grapes and, to conclude, the filling of the barrel with “buckets” of water.

The day will then end with the “Incanto” fireworks display.
