Guided tour of the exhibition “The Travels and Encounters of a Forgotten Artist. Francesco Verla and the Renaissance”

The exhibition, opened on Friday 7 July 2017, is the first solo exhibition ever devoted to Francesco Verla, a singular Italian painter, known to the scholars, but little to the general public.
It’s an invitation to rediscover this artist through his works, some of which have been restored for the occasion: beautiful paintings inspired by the famous Pietro Perugino and strange grotesque friezes populated by fantastic and mysterious creatures.
