Hidden Views of Medieval Architecture
Guided visit in the city

The guided tour will take participants to discover the places which are usually hidden from the public in the ancient bishop's palace and the adjoining San Vigilio cathedral.
The itinerary will wind its way through the Diocesan Museum Tridentino, where, via the generally inaccessible medieval stairs, you will pass through the rooms used by the prince-bishop, such as the Palatine Chapel and his private flat.
Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to learn about the architectural transformations of the San Vigilio Cathedral, from its construction in the 13th century to the restorations carried out in the 19th century.
The visit will continue inside the cathedral by climbing the steps of the rampant staircase leading to the so-called cantoria, and crossing the architectural structure, in order to reach a privileged space that will allow visitors to admire the majesty of the cathedral from above.
The guided visit lasts about 90 minutes and is included in the museum admission ticket (€ 7).
Limited number of participants (max 15 people).
Booking required by email prenotazioni@mdtn.it or by phone no. 0461 234419.
