Michele Vurchio and FaRe Jazz Big Band presents: “Bob Mintzer Project”
Director Stefano Colpi

The big band of Trento adds another project to their repertoire. With the presence of the drummer Michele Vurchio from Puglia, expert on Latin American music and jazz fusion who has worked in collaboration with pop artists such as Anna Oxa and the „Camaleonti“, the group from Pergine deals with the music and the arrangements of the famous American saxophonist Bob Mintzer. Minzer, who is particularly known for being one of the founders of the fusion group „YellowJackets“, is also arranger, improviser and an expert with his instrument, as we can hear in „Word of mouth“ by Jaco Pastorius.
Stefano Corsi has always been a performer, composer and arranger of jazz music. He played in various Italian and foreign festivals with many internationally known jazz players and has been cited in the American „Penguin Guide to Jazz“. Since 2012 he has directed the „FaRe Jazz big Band“.
FaRe Jazz big Band was founded in 2004 as expression of a didactic workshop of the Valsugana Jazz Tour by involving non-professional musicians of the Valsugana and Valle dell'Adige. He took part in the Jazz Festival of Bolzano „jazz & other“ and in the Dolomiti Ski Jazz, playing with solo artists (Davide Ghidoni, Walter Civettini, Fiorenzo Zeni, Kyle J Gregory) in Italian as well as Austrian concerts.
