Energy is the word that better describes the musical project of this group. Through personal and original compositions, the vibraphonist Mirko Pedrotti carried out a musical project with a charming groove. Its style goes in the direction of artists such as Dave Holland, Chris Potter, Avischai Cohen and Steve Coleman and of the progressive rock.
Aim of the project is to make people know this elegant way of playing the acoustic guitar and to spread the gypsy music also in Italy.
The Project Gypsy took part in important international festivals ( Fiemme Ski Jazz 2007 and 2008, Dolomiti Ski Jazz 2007, Valsugana Jazz Tour 2006-2007-2008-2010, International Festival Manouche Django Reinhardt of Torino 2008) as well as in many concerts. In October 2010 the CD „ESPRIT MANOUCHE", recorded with the new trio was launched and represents the new musical evolution of the group.
