Paolo Vallorz: the figure and a room of flowers
An exhibition-tribute dedicated to the figure and still life, five years after the artist's death

Some 30 works are on display in the exhibition, particularly valuable by virtue of their origin, since they were mostly acquired in Parisian and New York galleries.
They were made by Vallorz during his working years in Paris, his city of choice. They are mostly portraits of his friends of those years, since 1949 - sculptors, painters and intellectuals. They
represent an unusual pictorial production compared to that of recent years, where it is the landscape, particularly the trees of his valley, that predominates over the figure.
Also on display, in a separate room, are seven canvases of flowers, in which Vallorz has combined delicacy and intensity - the same for figure paintings-, once again revealing the strength of his gaze on nature.
The exhibition "Paolo Vallorz: the figure and a room of flowers" is a way to tell from an unusual perspective the relationship that Vallorz had with the big city and the human.
