Propaganda in the First World War

Over the course of the summer, the War Museum is offering four special guided tours: in the company of a guide, it will be possible to visit the exhibition rooms, lingering over the most significant objects and exploring a different theme for each appointment.

On Friday 28 July we will discuss the topic of Propaganda in the First World War, a period in which writers, artists and advertisers were involved in what came to be known as mass communication. Starting with the documents on display in the Museum's rooms, we will try to understand the influence of propaganda on public opinion, which was used to direct the people's feelings towards the war and the enemy.
