The Shadow of the Unicorn
What is a rhinoceros doing in the Dolomites?

Rhinos are imposing and seemingly invincible but also fragile animals, threatened by the black market for their horn.
Discover their history, their relationship with people and conservation issues in the contemporary world in the exhibition "The Shadow of the Unicorn".
The star of the exhibition is Toby, the great specimen of southern white rhinoceros who lived at the Natura Viva Park in Bussolengo until the ripe old age of 54. Through this marvellous taxidermied specimen of white rhinoceros, you will discover the beauty and vulnerability of Asian and African rhinos, their importance for the ecosystem and the dangers threatening them with extinction.
