The magic of snow crystals
"Snow crystals between origami and nature"

A chance to learn more about the delicate world of glaciers
Let's take a moment to gaze curiously at snow crystals and be inspired by their beauty to create an origami. We will discover how this minuscule unit, a soft, light flake, transforms into ice to form imposing structures that cover the coldest parts of our planet.
An online workshop organised by the geology museum in Predazzo in which we will discover, starting from a snow crystal, how glaciers are formed and their importance for our planet. The meeting will also be an opportunity for a virtual tour of the temporary exhibition "Glaciers, the future of perennial ice in our hands" (in this time, when the museum is closed).
After a short introduction, in the workshop you will learn how to create snow crystal in the form of origami. All you need to participate is:
-
Four sheets of A4 paper and/or gift paper cut into squares or origami paper
Scissors
Glue sticks
Finally, at the end of the meeting, you'll learn small actions that we can put into practice in our daily lives to reduce global warming.
