The pirate of the lakes

The starting point will be the paintings in the picture gallery of the Riva del Garda Museum. In the rooms of the Museum there are in fact numerous views of Lake Garda, mainly dating back to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

These landscapes will become the settings for the adventures of a new character: it is up to each boy and girl to invent his/her pirate.

In addition to creating their own pirate, each participant will imagine and draw their own story and adventures, which will lead them to the fateful encounter with the magical creature from the lake.

The museum staff will guide children in the creation of their own illustrated book.

The materials needed for this workshop are: A4 paper or cardboard, drawing pencils, twine, scissors, coloured pencils, wax crayons.
