The rooms paved in majolica tiles

Cultural exhibitions and events , Guided tour

For the series of events "comodaMENTEinMUSEO. Aperitivi d'arte" (Leisurely at the museum 2017), Laura Dal Prà brings participants in the innermost circles of the apartment of the prince bishop, which reveal a delicate and precious pavement of majolica tiles; these have been studied for the first time, and their executors have been revealed.

A variety of shapes and decorations, exotic Turquerie, cherubs' games evoke colors and refinements of the richest baroque mansions.

Laura Dal Prà
Museum director and curator with Luciana Giacomelli and Elvio Mich of the exhibition "Chiesa Impero e turcherie. Giuseppe Alberti pittore e architetto nel Trentino barocco" (Church, Empire and Turquerie. Giuseppe Alberti, painter and architect of the Trentino Baroque movement), Laura Dal Prà is an art historian, specialized in iconography, author of numerous studies and publications, and curator of important exhibitions. She's a lecturer at university and for specialist courses. She's the former director of the Department for historic and artistic Heritage.
