To arms! To arms! The warriors’ table
Attracting thousands of visitors for many years, this special event is back on the eve of the Feast of the Assumption

Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August, in the incomparable setting of the largest castle in Trentino, the traditional appointment with the historical reenactment groups from all over Europe will feature this year something new: besides the reenactment of the life of past times at the castle with warriors in armor and other actors in period costume, the present edition will focus on food. How and what did Renaissance warriors eat before the battle? What food was prepared in the camps? What were the ingredients?
Children will have a good time by joining workshops aimed at teaching them how to cook the food for the king's table, but also to build a magical chef's hat.
Throughout the day ten groups in period costume will take turns to entertain the public: Circolo Culturale La Cinquedea from Finale Emilia; Accademia Cangrande della Scala from Verona; Fanti di San Nicolò from Venice; CavalieridelCarretto from Finale Ligure; Gruppo storico CittàdelGrifo from Arzignano; Cavalieri del Drago from Castelfranco Veneto; LandsknechtsBretten from Germany; Gruppo storico Exheres and Gruppo Homus Novus from Bellinzago novarese.
The Summer event «dicastelincastello» («From castle to castle») is promoted by the Cultural activities Office of the Autonomous Province of Trento and it's curated by Centro Servizi Culturali S. Chiara in collaboration with the Buonconsiglio Castle.
The entrance fee to the Castle will cost 5 € (reduced 3 €) and you can access on foot, or by using a shuttle bus available on Saturdays from 9.30 to 23.30 and on Sundays from 9.30 to 18.30.
