VERGOT

Cecilia Bozza Wolf

Italy / 2016 / 60'

Two brothers, an exuberant father and an invisible but present mother. A peasant family in an alpine valley traversed by apple orchards and vineyards, where everyone speaks a coarse heavy dialect. The 19-year-old Gim has discovered he is homosexual, but the world surrounding him is unable to accept this, starting from his father, not by chance known as “the wolf”. His older brother Alex on the one hand urges Gim not to feel sorry for himself and to overcome his fears, and on the other tries to continue the traditions of his father.
