"WE ARE THE FLOOD | Noi siamo il diluvio”
Exhibition Finissage: last guided tour on Friday 26 August from 16.00 to 18.00, and last opening weekend

WE ARE THE FLOOD | NOI SIAMO IL DILUVIO
A project by MUSE - Science Museum of Trento, conceived and curated by artist Stefano Stefano Cagol
at the Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas / Sas Underground Archaeological Space in piazza Battisti
Trento
until 28 August 2022
Past and future meet in the Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas / Sas Underground Archaeological Space in Piazza Cesare Battisti in Trento, where the Muse Science museum has brought the project “We are the Flood | Noi siamo il diluvio” with a selection of works by international artists reflecting on the present moment.
What's the result? No short-circuit between mosaics and video works and installations, but many insights into how we were and how our future could be, with art as a symbolic and universal key to translate the vast legacy of history and the complex issues addressed by science. The magazines Interni, Il Giornale dell'Arte, Artribune and, a few days ago, the Huffington Post (which included the project among "the most intriguing exhibitions of the moment" between art and the climate crisis) spoke of the effectiveness of the point of view.
The last opening weekend of the exhibition will be a finissage event on Friday 26 August from 16.00 to 18.00, with a guided tour of the exhibition in the presence of Stefano Cagol, the creator and curator of the project, and two of the exhibiting artists, Silvia Listorti and Giacomo Segantin, among the under-35 winners of the national selection announced by the Muse.
Silvia Listorti (Milan, 1987) presents the work 'Ora' in transparent glass, almost a wave crystallised by the hands of the artist to evoke an environmental purity, which is now lost.
Giacomo Segantin (Abano Terme, 1995), already winner of the Cantica 21 award from the Mic Ministry for Culture, is on show in Trento with a video work on the fog that shrouds climate issues, between spectacularisation, superficiality, indifference and denial.
The works on display also include those by under-35-artists Giulia Nelli and g. olmo stuppia, Micol Grazioli and by established international artists of different generations, Shaarbek Amankul (Kirghizistan), Sacha Kanah (Italy), Fabio Marullo e Barbara De Ponti (Italy), Janet Laurence (Australia), Hans Op de Beeck (Belgium) and PSJM (Canaries).
In addition to Stefano Cagol, the working group consists of Carlo Maiolini of the MUSE programme ‘Science & Humanism’, Massimo Bernardi of the ‘Think tank MUSE Antropocene’, and by a board of research advisors, including curators such as Blanca de la Torre, Alessandro Castiglioni, Elisa Carollo, Rachel Rits-Volloch and Khaled Ramadan.
The exhibition is carried out in collaboration with the Department for Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Province of Trento and the Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara.
Project supported by the IBSA Foundation for scientific research.
