46th Sacred Music Festival
This is the 46th year of the Sacred Music Festival, which includes a series of choirs, instrumental and solo groups from both provinces of Bolzano and Trento, as well as international artists.
In recent years, relations with North Tyrol have intensified; as a result, new concerts have been included on schedule and joint projects have been carried out.
In Trentino, two specific projects have been promoted: one addressed to the young, to the production of Rossini's "Petite Messe Solennelle" twenty years after its first modern execution; the other directed to the enhancement of local creativity, by proposing sacred music by Francesco Antonio Berera, an eighteenth-century chaplain master in the Cathedral of Trento.
For the remaining events, the Festival proposes artistic projects both from local and national areas, with particular attention to the choir ensembles (Corale zumellese, Coro di Ruda, Coro S. Isidoro di Martignano, Ensemble Altair).
The numerous collaborations of the Festival with other organizing bodies and institutions have made possible a really varied programme of high artistic value.
