91st National Alpini Gathering

Cultural exhibitions and events

The 91st National Alpini Gathering is not just a group of men who love to parade with the Alpine Hat, but it is an important moment of commemoration aimed at honouring the fallen, and at teaching young people to love their neighbours and their country.

The sense of belonging has always been strong for this army; both the old and the young generations held their first national gathering on Mount Ortigara in 1920, where a lot of young soldiers died for their homeland. Since then, the Alpini’s yearly conventions have been strengthening the friendship among mates, and proving solidarity for the most needy.
