Feste Vigiliane
Dedicated to San Vigilio, the patron saint of Trento, the Feste Vigiliane offer historical re-enactments in costume, as well as gourmet and recreational events and initiatives (32th edition)
This is the 32nd edition of Feste Vigiliane, an important goal for an always new event. The city will offer a lot of new initiatives from 18th to 21st and from 25th to 26th June to meet everyone’s taste, with the traditional events and some interesting news. Children will be the protagonists during the Opening Ceremony. It will be a nice event, colorful and happy, that will look at the future of the city and the people who live here. During the event, the St. Vigilius District will enliven the city center with interesting initiatives promoting handcraft and products of Trentino region. On Friday 19th June on Piazza Duomo everybody has the possibility to be a protagonist of the history thanks to the “Selfie History Time”. This moment will precede the traditional historical parade, which winds through the Historical town centre from Buonconsiglio Castle to Piazza Duomo. The Magic Night will be on Saturday 20th June. It will bring fun and happiness throughout the city center with the following events: the initiative “The Bread of the Alps” in Piazza Lodron, Var Talent ’15 in Piazza Cesare Battisti, “The Magic night of dance” in Verdi Street and a lot of concerts. The programme will start late in the evening and it will end at 4 in the morning with the breakfast in Piazza Duomo. The main news of this year is the commemoration of the dinner that took place in 1545, “Cena dei Padri Conciliari”, via SS. Trinità on Thursday 25th June. Grand finale will be on Friday 26th June with the St. Vigilius Fireworks.
