Feste Vigiliane 2021
“Come on! Let me hug you!”, this is the title of the event that, from 18 to 27 June, for two consecutive weekends, will enliven the historic centre of Trento with a rich calendar of events...
“Feste Vigiliane” denominates the festival in which Trento celebrates its patron saint S. Vigilius with games, music, entertainment and historical reenactments.
Last year, at the height of the pandemic, in the hope of keeping the tradition alive, the festival was streamed and televised, and it was anyhow successful beyond expectations.
From this year, however, in a new start desired by the organisers, the patron saint's festivities will take place in-person, so that everybody will once again have the chance to enjoy the squares of the town centre, enjoy moments of leisure, freedom and light-heartedness. Obviously in safety and with maximum respect for the health regulations in force.
The theme of the festival this year is the hug, to help everyone overcome the fear of contact and regain the courage to take to the streets to share the fun.
The key events will take place in the main squares of the city: Piazza Fiera, Piazza Duomo, Piazza Cesare Battisti, Piazza S. Maria Maggiore, the district Le Albere and the Bishop's Park.
The current health directives require participation in all events to be limited. Therefore, to take part in the main events included in the programme, bookings must be required on the website www.festevigiliane.it, in the "Programme" section (from 11 June 2021).
