Folk routes 2016

The courtyard of the Crispi-Bonporti schools hosts also this year nearly all the Itinerari Folk (Folk routes) concerts, which are organised by the Centro servizi culturali S. Chiara.

The concerts of 14 July with Burdon Folk Band (Ukraine) and of 12 August with Vizöntő (Hungary) will instead take place at the Giardino Santa Chiara.

The twenty-ninth edition of Itinerari Folk (Folk routes) aims at capturing the signals emerging from the music scene of the ethnic, traditional and world genres of this last decade.

The first striking feature is that Europe - although crossed by many elements of crisis - still is a great creative opportunity, where different languages meet without limits or barriers; in this way they "fertilize" ideas and artistic productions like nowhere else in the world. In particular, this kind of music that connects roots and traditions with modernity, doesn't seem at all crossed by that sense of restlessness that upsets contemporary society.
