Haydn’s Summer

Here are four projects in various locations in Trentino this summer: we begin in Trento with a project on Vivaldi's Four Seasons and continue at the Firmiano Castle, with music by Paul Hindemith combined with Arnold Fanck's silent film masterpiece "Im Kampf mit dem Berge". At the end of August, two masterpieces by Tchaikovsky will be performed by famous conductor Juraj Valčuha. The leitmotif of the fourth project in Trento and Bolzano and other locations is the great innovators of 20th-century Afro-American music. Marco Pierobon's inexhaustible talent takes us on an exciting tour of unforgettable female voices, from Ella Fitzgerald to Aretha Franklin, and great trumpeters such as Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis.
