Telling about archaeology: stories of men and territories
Four conferences to reconstruct the relationship between man and environment through archaeological research
Archaeology will be the protagonist of a series of educational meetings that will take place at the MAG Museo Alto Garda, in Riva del Garda, on 11 and 25 September, 9 and 30 October 2020 at 18.00. University lecturers, museum directors and officials of the Department for Cultural Heritage will analyze local, national and international contexts to illustrate the importance of archaeological research as a tool to reconstruct not only the history of man in the past, from daily life to cultural aspects, but also the relationship between ancient civilizations and the environment in which they found themselves, as it inevitably influenced their way of life.
Particular attention will be paid to the upper Garda area: latest research on testimonies and local archaeological contexts will be presented; thus they’ll shed some light on periods and themes still little known and on the most ancient phases of human population in this territory.
Seats are limited - advance booking is strongly recommended by email: prenotazioni@museoaltogarda.it
The series of conferences is open to the public and recognized as refresher course for teachers
