Andrea Pozzo in Trento and the church of S. Francesco Saverio
The thematic itinerary will have, as protagonist, Andrea Pozzo – painter and architect of international renown, born in Trento in 1642. On this occasion there will be the opportunity to examine the relations binding Andrea Pozzo with his town of origin, in particular with the church of S. Francesco Saverio, considered the most important expression of religious Baroque architecture in Trento. The visit at the church at the end of the itinerary will give the chance to appreciate the rare and valuable internal decoration, characterised by such severe stylistic uniformity.
