Theatre Season: the Great Prose

All performances of the Season GRANDE PROSA will take place at the Social Theatre, except for "La scelta di Cesare", with Andrea Castelli, which will be performed  at the Cuminetti Theatre.

Other prominent artists of the contemporary scene: Paolo Rossi with an original Molière; Simone Cristicchi with his «Magazzino 18» about the exodus of the Italians on the run from Yugoslavia;  Claudio Bisio with a monologue which takes inspiration from Michele Serra’s artworks; Tato Russo with his theatrical work based on a novel by Luigi Pirandello; Anna Finocchiaro and Laura Curino, who pose for a calendar, together with otherover forty-year-olds; Marco Paolini with his homage to Jack London, dealing with the relationship between men and dogs, Pierfrancesco Favino with a new interpretation of Goldoni, in English version; Alessandro Preziosi in «Don Giovanni», and the popular and strong theatrical performance by stage director Emma Dante.

The Season of the Great Prose presents this year the new festival ALTRE TENDENZE (i.e. Other trends): five theatrical performances with famous artists and acting companies, which will take place at the Social Theatre in Trento.

On stage: Marta Cuscunà with her text about gender relations, Ascanio Celestini in a monologue about Jesus Christ, and Pippo Delbono, who tells the Gospel with words and music. The Motus will present the drama of migrants, taking inspiration from Shakespeare; ricci/forte will deal with the theme of homophobic discriminations.

The sale of the season tickets starts on 12 September and the price for all ten performances of the Grande Prosa  amounts to 170 Euro. The young audience can have access to the gallery for only 40 Euros. Very interesting and appealing is the offer "Saturday at the Theatre": season tickets from 150 Euros to 35 Euros (for the young audience). The normal admission ticket for the best seats costs 25 Euros, as last year.
