Nata in aure libere (“Born freely in the wind”)

Concerto for piano and chamber opera

Music , Classical music - suitable for adults
Antonella Costa [ Qual Piuma al Vento Festival]

Chamber opera and piano repertoire are the two forms of music in which Elvira de Gresti’s creativity found mainly expression and some of her works were considered so interesting that they were published by the publishing house “Ricordi”.

Two musicians from Trento will perform at this concert - we will discover some musical passages for voice and piano, a style favouring impalpable and liquid sonorities, like Segantini and Prati’s symbolism and naturalism in painting, inspiration of those idylls often described in the chosen poetic texts. The way Elvira de Gresti wrote music is reminiscent of the lesson of contemporary instrumental Italian music, but with a look at Mitteleuropa.

Music by Elvira de Gresti.
Maria Letizia Grosselli, soprano.
Antonella Costa, piano.
