Seeing into the future: mathematical simulation and physical reality

Thanks to the infinitesimal calculus it has become possible to formulate in a mathematical way many processes of nature, thus allowing to tackle the study of physical phenomena with instruments capable of furnishing a predictive valuation and paving the way for a technological revolution.
Mathematics has therefore been the “means” that has permitted both the understanding and the simulation of natural processes.
