"Chair of comparison 2015"

A series of three meetings in which the religious world and the lay world get in touch with each other to discuss "The three temptations."

Astronaut Paolo Nespoli will be participating among the lecturers of the “Chair of the comparison 2015”, an opportunity to spark debate on crucial issues.

Nespoli will in fact close the series of meetings on 15 April together with Armando Matteo, theologian, by focusing on La vertigine del limite (i.e. Limit vertigo), on questions of the collective unconscious about the flight of Dante’s Ulysses.

As usual, also this year three meetings are scheduled to look in depth at themes which, as in the past editions, are of great interest for a wide and varied public, both secular and religious.

"The three temptations" – which is a crucial issue for humanity, especially at the present time – are the central idea of the event starting on 11 March with a debate about greed between Umberto Curi, philosopher, and Sabino Chialà, monk.

On 23 March, the discussion between Farian Sabahi – Iranian author and journalist, specialized on Middle East issues - and Alberto Maggi – Biblical scholar - will deal with the "power" linked with "charm".

In 2010 Sabahi was awarded the Prize “Premio Amalfi sezione Mediterraneo” with the motivation: "Overcoming diversity, making the difference."

The meetings, organized by Ufficio diocesano cultura e università (Diocesan office for culture and university), will take place at 20.45 in Trento (Sala della Cooperazione, Via Segantini).
