Discovering the medieval Arco. Segantini and Arco | Summer 2019
Four events to experience the town and the Gallery from June to September
As part of the Segantini e Arco project, MAG is proposing four events for summer 2019 to rediscover and experience the city of Arco.
The tour starts on Saturday 15 June, from the exploration of the medieval town created by the art historian Marianna Raffaelli, with a walk in the historic center of Arco, from the crypt of the Collegiate Church to the streets leading to the castle, to the church of S. Apollinare, to find the medieval signs of the city still visible in the modern urban fabric.
Appointment/Meeting at 10.00 in front of the Collegiate Church. Free entry.
In the 19th century, the city will be the background for the September walk in the Giovanni Segantini's footsteps/tracks, a visit to the city's Segantini sites in the company of Romano Turrini, from the artist's birthplace on the River Sarca to the 1909 memorial, through which to reconstruct Segantini's link with the city of Arco and the city with his illustrious citizen.

Finally, to enliven the arcane summer are planned Nights at the Museum in Galleria Civica G. Segantini in July and August: evening openings until 23 of the Gallery with guided tours of the artist's permanent collection and the temporary spaces dedicated to his contemporaries.
