Castello del Buonconsiglio

Until May vistors can enjoy at the Buonconsiglio Castle the exhibition 'Encounters in Japan ', curated by Pietro Amadini and the museum's director, Laura Dal Prà, which tells the story of mid-19th century Japan through photographs and art objects collected by Giuseppe Grazioli. He was a Trentino clergyman and agronomist who went to Yokohama from 1864 to 1868 in search of healthy silkworm eggs, which had become unavailable, due to the spread of pebrina, the disease that had compromised silkworm production throughout Europe.

The Museum's collections also include a rare painting on copper by Fiemme painter Cristoforo Unterperger (Cavalese 1732 - Rome 1798), depicting St. Romedius meeting St. Vigilius.
