Folk itineraries
Festival of acoustic, ethnic and contemporary music
Atlantic routes
Music from the shores of the ocean
The twenty-eighth edition of " Folk itineraries", festival of acoustic, ethnic and contemporary music, explores the relationship between those cultures that have mixed up around the ocean as a result of migration, colonialism or of globalization.
Anglophones, Francophones, South Americans, men of the African desert, citizens of the Big Apple and of other metropolis get together in the big Atlantic family and get in touch with each other, together with emigrants of second and third generation in search for their ancient origin, refugees who feel the need to live their identity in the places of exile. All this is expressed in the many musical languages that tell stories of men and their feelings, world views and collective aspirations: tango, Irish dances, blues , samba, fado, reggae, Cajun, calypso, bluegrass, rap and all possible variations and contaminations.
