Open Palazzos 2016
An opportunity to get to know and visit unknown and valuable places, which normally are not open to the public, accompanied by expert guides and art historians.
Nowadays the rediscovery of the territories, of their inclinations and of their values seems to be more and more interesting for people because of the stories they can tell. Stories of a past that has left its traces also in those corners of streets, piazzas and buildings we pass by everyday without regard.
The event “Open Palazzos” has represented for several years the unique opportunity to rediscover and listen to these stories, recalling the happenings that have made these buildings famous over the centuries and recognising the role of their “diligent guardian” to the collectivity.
70 municipalities, some of them for the first time thanks to new forms of collaborations, others for many years, have joined the event, which is organised by the municipality of Trento and supported by the Province.
Several buildings, houses, churches and itineraries are to be discovered: unknown places which, thanks to the expert guide of art historians, will belong, in some way, to everyone. We can learn from the past also by crossing the threshold of places and spaces that can inspire and teach us something, so that we live our present without forgetting how we got there. “Open Palazzos” is a journey to discover the history and art of our territory and is open to everybody,
