WAM Festival Mozart

"With no order at all, let the dance be"

Classical music concert

The Rovereto Mozart Festival started in 1987 in order to remember and enhance the presence of the composer from Salzburg in our area. Thus, the Festival fosters the knowledge of the places where Mozart himself played and stayed, and at the same time it promotes a careful artistic research that combines the history of music with the trends and influences of the contemporary production.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart came to Rovereto in 1760, invited by the Border Commissioner of the time, Giuseppe Nicolò Cristiani Rall. Mozart created a special bond with the town with his concert in St. Mark Church on 26 December 1760.

Rovereto has such an artistic vocation, that over the years the town has experienced a strong cultural development; the International Festival WA Mozart arouse from this context, and every year it captures a large audience by offering the works of the genius of Salzburg, based on different focus and interpretations. As a result, this event attracts many enthusiasts from all over Europe who wish to discover or rediscover Mozart.
